Facial myofascial tension has been associated with altered neuromuscular tone, reduced tissue mobility, and subjective craniofacial discomfort. Manual myofascial approaches are increasingly discussed within bodywork and integrative practices; however, facial-specific myofascial applications remain underrepresented in academic literature.
